REIMAGINING CAPITALISM IN PRACTICE

A 3-Day Intensive for Senior and Emerging Leaders

June 25-28 | Elmley Nature Reserve, Kent, Egland

Led by Rebecca Henderson & Jamie Bristow

A pilot programme for a new era of changemaking

We are living through a moment that demands not only bold thinking — but leaders willing to look inward as much as outward.

This three-day residential programme, co-led by Rebecca Henderson (Harvard Business School) and Jamie Bristow (The Reweaving Project), is a pilot of a broader initiative aimed at equipping the next generation of changemakers to do the work that matters most.

Together, we will draw on systemic insight and personal transformation — weaving inner mastery with outward action — into a coherent journey of leadership grounded in one's deepest values and convictions. Participants will leave with practical frameworks, enduring practices, a shared language, and a trusted community to sustain an inner-core–guided path of change.

What we will explore together:

The Curriculum

Facing This Moment with Honesty and Clarity

- Making sense of the challenges we face — understanding why they reflect not only profound political and ecological difficulties, but also deeper questions of meaning, identity, and human connection

- Examining the limits of modernity, rationality, and materialism — and exploring how we might restore connection to ourselves, to others, and to the living world

- Engaging in sense-making, dialogue in the round, values inquiry, and collective reflection

The Changemaker's Inner Journey

- Moving from a focus on the verbal and conceptual mind in isolation to one that to a model of mind that includes more holistic and intuitive ways of moving through the world: from ego to inner core, from intellect alone to balanced wisdom

- Understanding the nature of inner development and exploring accessible practices for deepening access to one's values and cultivating states of clarity, peace, and purpose

- Practical exercises to reframe habitual thinking, listen with greater attention, connect more authentically, and embody genuine presence

- Reclaiming hope, beauty, and moral courage as the foundation for lasting impact

From Fixing to Transforming

- Why so many change efforts fall short — and how to lead with imagination and long-term relational thinking

- Concrete tools and techniques for supporting long term organizational change

- Designing transformation that integrates the personal, the cultural, and the structural in ways that make room for radical hope.

The people you will be learning from:

In partnership with Kite Insights

Kite is delighted to partner with The Reweaving Project in supporting the curation of the programme and helping to bring together a thoughtful group of leaders from across business and civil society. Kite’s work focuses on helping organisations translate deep reflection on the challenges of our time into meaningful leadership and action. Their network and experience convening senior leaders on complex sustainability and societal questions make them a natural partner for this pilot.

A launchpad for a new standard of leadership

This residential retreat is conceived as the seed of a new approach to transformative leadership development. A  model rooted in personal mastery, grounded in evidence-based practice, and fully engaged with systemic realities.

Participants in this pilot will be co-architects of an emerging framework, gaining not only a genuinely transformative personal experience, but also the opportunity to help shape the future of leadership and changemaking.

Fall '25 Retreat

Participant Testimonial

"I took so many valuable insights from my time on the programme, but two really stand out to me. The first is the value of the inner work and the opportunity to develop a practice. I know is part of having the strength and emotional regulation to step into being an author and storyteller. The second is that my role as a change-maker (at least at this moment) is about grief and hospicing aspects of business that need to die and be composted. I think I had been tempted to jump to the new too quickly.

I really appreciated having the opportunity to speak one on one with the facilitators. It was particularly reassuring that Rebecca and I are contemplating similar questions about capitalism. I would love to continue that conversation as I write my story.

The last thing I would highlight: The cohort of people was wonderful, a truly inspiring group and I absolutely loved getting to know them over dinner and hearing their 4 minute stories.

It was such a special week that I'm still reflecting on."

Participant Testimonial

"The program exceeded every expectation I had. It offered a rare combination of intellectual depth and emotional resonance, helping me reconnect with my core strengths and aspirations as a leader. I found immense value in the practical tools, the thoughtful frameworks, and the reflective space the facilitators created for us.

What truly stayed with me was the sense of inner alignment I gained — a deeper understanding of how to lead with clarity, integrity, and intention. The experience not only empowered me professionally, but also guided me on how to be an inspiring presence in my personal and professional life.

Most importantly, the program reminded me that the most powerful compass in life is the word — and the emotion — Love. With love and strength, I believe we can bring meaningful change to our teams, our communities, and the world around us.

I am sincerely grateful to Rebecca and Hitendra for the wisdom, guidance, and inspiration they shared so generously throughout the program."
